John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Greenfield Knights (Wilson, NC), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Saints confront the Christ Covenant Spartan (Winterville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 25. John Paul II Catholic will attempt to better on its 11-2 season record.
The Knights now have a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they host Wayne Country Day for a NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge on Monday, April 24. Greenfield will confront a Chargers team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 1-7.
