North Carolina High School Soccer - Marvin Ridge knocks off Piedmont

April 20, 2023: Monroe, NC 28110

Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), 4-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mavericks confront the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A challenge, on Tuesday, April 25. Marvin Ridge will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC).

The Panthers now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cuthbertson for a Southern Carolina 4A test on Tuesday, April 25. Piedmont will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 8-3.
