In Thursday's non-league game, the host Mattawan Wildcats baseball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Lakeshore Lancers.
The Wildcats (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Franklin (Livonia, MI). The Patriots go into the non-league game with a 10-5 record.
The Lancers (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Buchanan (Buchanan, MI). The Bucks go into the non-league game with a 7-4 record.
