In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Western Albemarle Warriors soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Monticello Mustangs.
The Warriors now sport a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Orange County for a non-league test on Monday, April 24. Western Albemarle will meet a Fighting Hornets squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Monticello drops to 6-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA) to meet the Black Knights in a non-league test on Monday, April 24. The Black Knights come into the test with a record of 6-1. Charlottesville 2-2 in their recent non-league test against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)
