Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tates Creek Commodores (Lexington, KY), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Generals now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bryan Station for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24. Lafayette will battle a Defenders squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Defenders record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Tates Creek falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Commodores host Lafayette (Lexington, KY) to battle the Generals in a challenge on Tuesday, May 9. The Generals enter the challenge with a record of 12-1.
