The Grimsley Whirlies lacrosse team scored 13 points and held the host Southwest Guilford Cowboys to 6 in the Whirlies league win on Thursday.
The Whirlies (8-2) will now prepare for their game against Page (Greensboro, NC). The Pirates go into the Metro game with a 10-7 record. In their last game, Page was overwhelmed by Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC), 12-8, in a non-league game.
The Cowboys (9-4) will now prepare for their game against Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Nighthawks go into the Metro game with a 6-6 record. In their last game, Northern Guilford nudged Page (Greensboro, NC), 16-15, in a league game.
