Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 19-7 in a league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Norman for a Greater Metro 4A challenge on Friday, April 21. Cox Mill will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-2 non-league win over North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, A.L. Brown falls to 1-14 on the campaign. The Wonders travel to South Iredell (Statesville, NC) to face the Vikings in a Greater Metro 4A challenge on Friday, April 21. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 8-10. South Iredell lost 8-2 in their recent league challenge against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC)
