California High School Softball - Sierra Vista gets by Azusa

April 20, 2023: Baldwin Park, CA 91706

Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Sierra Vista Dons (Baldwin Park, CA) and the visiting Azusa Aztecs (Azusa, CA), witnessed Sierra Vista's softball squad tip Azusa by a count of 2-1.

The Dons now sport a 8-6 record. They play next when they host St. Paul for a non-league match on Friday, April 21. Sierra Vista will meet a Swordsmen squad coming off a 21-7 league win over St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA). The Swordsmen record now stands at 20-6.

With the loss, Azusa moves to 9-4 on the season. The Aztecs travel to Gladstone (Covina, CA) to meet the Gladiators in a Montview match on Friday, April 21. The Gladiators go into the match with a record of 4-8. Gladstone won 12-1 in their recent league match against Workman (City of Industry, CA)
