Gaither Cowboys (Tampa, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Jefferson Dragons (Tampa, FL), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cowboys now own a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Wharton for a 6A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Gaither will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Strawberry Crest (Dover, FL). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Jefferson falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Leto (Tampa, FL) to face the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 7-8. Leto won 18-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Armwood (Seffner, FL)
