John Paul II Cardinals (Plano, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Prestonwood Christian Lions (Plano, TX), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 23-10 record. They take the field next when they host Trinity Christian for a TAPPS Division I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 25. John Paul II will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 6-1 league loss to Nolan Catholic (Fort Worth, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Prestonwood Christian falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Ursuline Academy (Dallas, TX) to meet the Bears in a TAPPS Division I District 2 match on Friday, April 21. The Bears go into the match with a record of 1-13. Ursuline Academy won 11-8 in their recent league match against Parish Episcopal (Dallas, TX)
