Wayland-Cohocton Eagles (Wayland, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Livonia Bulldogs (Livonia, NY), 10-2 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dansville for a Livingston County Division I challenge on Friday, April 21. Wayland-Cohocton will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Haverling (Bath, NY). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Livonia falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Hornell (Hornell, NY) to battle the Red Raiders in a Livingston County Division I challenge on Friday, April 21. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Hornell lost 11-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Bolivar-Richburg (Bolivar, NY)
