In Thursday's league contest, the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) softball team overwhelmed the host Rochester Rams (Rochester, PA), by a margin of 21-1.
With the triumph, Union Area moves its record to 11-1 on the year. The Scotties host Carlynton (Carnegie, PA) to play the Cougars in a WPIAL 1A 1 contest on Friday, April 21. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 0-2.
In their next game, the Rams play the Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 contest, on Monday, April 24. Rochester will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
