West Catholic Falcons (Grand Rapids, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Sparta Spartans (Sparta, MI), 18-7 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Forest Hills Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 22.

With the loss, Sparta falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 22. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Kenowa Hills lost 24-8 in their recent league challenge against Catholic Central (Grand Rapids, MI)
