Governor Livingston Highlanders (Berkeley Heights, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chatham Cougars (Chatham, NJ), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Highlanders now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Immaculata for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. Governor Livingston will face a Spartans squad coming off a 9-2 league win over Hillsborough (Hillsborough, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Chatham falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Immaculata (Somerville, NJ) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20.
