Happy Valley Warriors (Elizabethton, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, TN), 15-8 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 2-13 record. They take the field next when they host Chuckey-Doak for a 2A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, April 23.

With the loss, Hampton falls to 2-20 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to University (Johnson City, TN) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. University won 24-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Avery County (Newland, NC)
