The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) and the visiting Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME), observed Maine Central Institute's softball team get by Houlton by a tally of 9-4.

The Huskies (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Mount View (Thorndike, ME). The Mustangs go into the Class C North bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Mount View was routed by Central (East Corinth, ME), 12-8, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Shiretowners clash with the Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 25. Houlton will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 8-7 league loss to Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME).
