John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers (Baton Rouge, LA), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 23-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pineville for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. John Curtis Christian will face a Rebels squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Tioga (Tioga, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 19-15.

With the loss, St. Joseph's Academy falls to 22-9 on the campaign.
