Pennsylvania High School Softball - Shenandoah Valley knocked off by Mahanoy Area

In Saturday's league contest, the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA) softball team overwhelmed the host Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils (Shenandoah, PA), by a margin of 16-1.

With the triumph, Mahanoy Area moves its record to 3-5 on the year. The Golden Bears travel to Tri-Valley (Hegins, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Monday, April 22. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 7-3. Tri-Valley lost 1-0 in their recent league contest against Williams Valley (Tower City, PA)

In their next game, the Blue Devils play the Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA) in a Schuylkill II contest, on Monday, April 22. Shenandoah Valley will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Battlin' Miners come into the contest with a 6-7 record after their 12-0 league loss to Williams Valley (Tower City, PA).
