Illinois High School Baseball - Normal West edges Bloomington

April 20, 2026: Normal, IL 61761

In Monday's league game, the host Normal West Wildcats baseball team scored a close 4-2 win over the Bloomington Purple Raiders.

The Wildcats (13-5) will now prepare for their game against Champaign Central (Champaign, IL). The Maroons go into the Big Twelve game with a 10-5 record. In their last game, Champaign Central nudged Normal Community (Normal, IL), 9-8, in a league game.

Next, the Purple Raiders play the Richwoods Knights (Peoria, IL) in a Big Twelve game, on Wednesday, April 22. Bloomington will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Knights go into the game with a 5-9 record after their 12-11 league loss to Danville (Danville, IL).
