The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) and the host Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), observed Larkin's softball team notch a victory over Elgin by a tally of 12-0.

The Royals (8-8) will now prepare for their bout against West Aurora (Aurora, IL). The Blackhawks go into the Upstate Eight bout with a 5-9 record. In their last bout, West Aurora was routed by Williamsville (Williamsville, IL), 9-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Maroons battle the Streamwood Sabres (Streamwood, IL) in a Upstate Eight bout, on Tuesday, April 21. Elgin will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Sabres go into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 15-0 league loss to South Elgin (South Elgin, IL).
