The Calhoun Academy Cavaliers baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders to 3 in the Cavaliers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Cavaliers (11-5) will now prepare for their match against Northside Christian Academy (Lexington, SC). The Crusaders go into the match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Northside Christian Academy was overwhelmed by Calhoun Academy (St. Matthews, SC), 11-6, in a league match.
The Raiders (1-9) will now prepare for their match against St. John's Christian Academy (Moncks Corner, SC). The Cavaliers go into the SCISA A Region I match with a 6-10 record. In their last match, St. John's Christian Academy was overwhelmed by Dorchester Academy (St. George, SC), 7-3, in a league match.
