New York, NY – After waiting almost two weeks to get back on the field, the La Salle Academy Cardinals wasted no time and made short work of the Cathedral Prep Crusaders, 11-0 in five innings to pick up their first win of the season, yesterday at East River Park.
Eamon Moogan (W, 1-1) was the story for La Salle (1-5 overall, 1-2 division) on the mound tossing a complete game 1-hit shutout (5IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 9Ks) and at the plate going 2 for 2 (2B, 3B, 3 RBIs, 1R). Carlos Lorenzo had three hits including a triple and three stolen bases and Xavier Guzman contributed with two hits, 2 RBIs and 3 runs.
On Deck: La Salle plays an away non-division game on Saturday, April 23rd against CHSAA “AA” Division, Mount St. Michael. First pitch is 10:30am in the Bronx.
