In Thursday's league game, the host Ottawa Pirates baseball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Kaneland Knights.
The Pirates (11-3) will now prepare for their game against LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL). The Cavaliers go into the Interstate Eight game with a 8-7 record.
The Knights (8-6) will now prepare for their game against Plano (Plano, IL). The Reapers go into the Interstate Eight game with a 6-12 record. In their last game, Plano tipped Sandwich (Sandwich, IL), 8-4, in a league game.
