The Watauga Pioneers crushed the visiting Starmount Rams baseball team by a count of 12-4 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Pioneers now possess a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they host Freedom for a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, April 26.

Next, the Rams face the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a Northwest 1A bout, on Friday, April 22. Starmount will attempt to move on its 6-13 season record. The Trojans enter the bout with a 8-8 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
