In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Middle Creek Mustangs soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Green Hope Falcons.

The Mustangs (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Apex Friendship (Apex, NC). The Patriots come into the Southwest Wake 4A battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, Apex Friendship was nudged by Apex (Apex, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.
