In Thursday's league battle, the host Puyallup Vikings soccer squad scored a close 4-1 win over the Sumner Spartans.
The Vikings (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Graham-Kapowsin (Graham, WA). The Eagles go into the 4A South Puget Sound battle with a 1-10 record. In their last battle, Graham-Kapowsin nipped Yelm (Yelm, WA), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
The Spartans (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Curtis (University Place, WA). The Vikings enter the 4A South Puget Sound bout with a 7-6 record. In their last bout, Curtis by Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, WA), 3-1, in a league bout.
