Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Hayfield Hawks (Alexandria, VA) and the host Annandale Atoms (Annandale, VA), witnessed Hayfield's softball squad prevail over Annandale by a count of 16-3.

The Hawks now sport a 9-0 record. They play next when they host Lewis for a National match on Friday, April 29.

With the loss, Annandale moves to 6-3 on the season. The Atoms host Meridian (Falls Church, VA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Monday, April 25. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 2-4.
