The Eastland Cougars routed the visiting Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders softball squad by a count of 17-0 in Thursday's league battle.
The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Carroll (Savanna, IL). The Thunder go into the non-league battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, West Carroll was routed by Warren/Stockton (Warren, IL), 12-2, in a league battle.
The Raiders now sport a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Milledgeville for a NUIC East battle on Tuesday, April 26. Ashton-Franklin Center will meet a Missiles squad coming off a 15-4 non-league loss to Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Missiles record now stands at 0-9.
