Navarro Panthers (Geronimo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 19-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gonzales for a 4A Region IV District 27 challenge on Friday, April 22. Navarro will face a Apaches squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to La Vernia (La Vernia, TX). The Apaches record now stands at 8-14.

With the loss, Cuero falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Gobblers host La Vernia (La Vernia, TX) to face the Bears in a 4A Region IV District 27 challenge on Friday, April 22. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 13-14. La Vernia won 8-5 in their recent league challenge against Gonzales (Gonzales, TX)
