West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Blackhawks now own a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Surry for a Foothills 2A challenge on Tuesday, April 26.

With the loss, East Surry falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Glenn (Kernersville, NC) to face the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 8-8. Glenn won 8-1 in their recent league challenge against Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC)
