Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Bengals now own a 15-7 record. They take the field next when they host Bloomfield for a 4A District 1 challenge on Saturday, April 23. Gallup will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 9-14.

With the loss, Miyamura falls to 9-13 on the campaign. The Patriots host Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM) to face the Broncos in a 4A District 1 challenge on Saturday, April 23. The Broncos enter the challenge with a record of 12-8. Kirtland Central won 18-7 in their recent league challenge against Shiprock (Shiprock, NM)
