Penn Yan Academy Mustangs (Penn Yan, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Geneva Panthers (Geneva, NY), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Newark for a Finger Lakes East challenge on Monday, April 25. Penn Yan Academy will battle a Reds squad coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Dansville (Dansville, NY). The Reds record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Geneva falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Midlakes (Clifton Springs, NY) to battle the Screaming Eagles in a Finger Lakes East challenge on Friday, April 22. The Screaming Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
