Oxford Hornets (Oxford, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA), 18-6 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Kennett for a Ches-Mont challenge on Monday, April 25. Oxford will face a Blue Demons squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Interboro (Prospect Park, PA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Great Valley falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Patriots host Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA) to face the Golden Knights in a Ches-Mont challenge on Monday, April 25. The Golden Knights enter the challenge with a record of 11-0. Bayard Rustin won 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Sun Valley (Aston, PA)
