Illinois High School Softball - Newman Central Catholic bounces Hall

The Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL) softball routed the host Hall Red Devils (Spring Valley, IL), 8-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Comets (8-2) will now prepare for their bout against Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL). The Panthers go into the non-league bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Erie-Prophetstown held off Sherrard (Sherrard, IL), 3-0, in a league bout.
