Norte Vista Braves (Riverside, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hillcrest Trojans (Riverside, CA), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Braves now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Sierra for a River Valley challenge on Monday, April 25. Norte Vista will face a Eagles squad coming off a 5-3 league win over Patriot (Jurupa Valley, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-16.

With the loss, Hillcrest falls to 13-12 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Ramona (Riverside, CA) to face the Rams in a River Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 20-4. Ramona won 11-5 in their recent league challenge against Arlington (Riverside, CA)
