Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 17-2 in a league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Minooka for a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Monday, April 25.
With the loss, Joliet Central falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Steelmen host Bremen (Midlothian, IL) to battle the Braves in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 23. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 2-15. Bremen lost 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Peotone (Peotone, IL)
