Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Henry-Senachwine for a Tri-County challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Putnam County will battle a Mallards squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Serena (Serena, IL). The Mallards record now stands at 4-11.

With the loss, Lowpoint-Washburn falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Dwight (Dwight, IL) to battle the Trojans in a Tri-County challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Dwight lost 1-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL)
