Tellico Plains Bears (Tellico Plains, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting McMinn Central Chargers (Englewood, TN), 9-1 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Greenback for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. Tellico Plains will face a Cherokees squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN). The Cherokees record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, McMinn Central falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Polk County (Benton, TN) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 5-9. Polk County won 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Tyner Academy (Chattanooga, TN)
