Ygnacio Valley Wolves (Concord, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Wolves now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Menlo-Atherton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 23. Ygnacio Valley will battle a Bears squad coming off a 18-8 non-league win over Tennyson (Hayward, CA). The Bears record now stands at 8-11.

With the loss, Miramonte falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Acalanes (Lafayette, CA) to battle the Dons in a Diablo - Valley challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Dons enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Acalanes won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Ygnacio Valley (Concord, CA)
