Simi Valley Pioneers (Simi Valley, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oak Park Eagles (Oak Park, CA), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 8-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Royal for a Coastal Canyon challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Simi Valley will face a Highlanders squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Huntington Beach (Huntington Beach, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 13-8.

With the loss, Oak Park falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Highland (Palmdale, CA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 23.
