South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Williamsburg Yellowjackets (Williamsburg, KY), 17-3 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they host Knox Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. South Laurel will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Jackson County (McKee, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Williamsburg falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY) to battle the Colonels in a District 50 challenge on Monday, April 25. The Colonels enter the challenge with a record of 3-4.
