In Friday's league game, the visiting Clovis Wildcats baseball team scored a tight 11-4 victory over the Hobbs Eagles.
The Wildcats (10-13) will now prepare for their game against Roswell (Roswell, NM). The Coyotes go into the 5A District 4 game with a 10-13 record. In their last game, Roswell was overwhelmed by Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM), 10-2, in a league game.
The Eagles (9-14) will now prepare for their game against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Cavemen go into the 5A District 4 game with a 20-4 record. In their last game, Carlsbad tipped Loving (Loving, NM), 15-2, in a non-league game.
