East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 11-1 in a league test.

With the win, East Rutherford upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Polk County (Columbus, NC) to battle the Wolverines in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A test on Tuesday, April 25. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 7-10. Polk County lost 12-2 in their recent league test against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)

With the defeat, Patton falls to 5-13 on the season. The Panthers travel to Draughn (Valdese, NC) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Monday, April 24. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 15-4. Draughn won 12-0 in their recent league test against Rosman (Rosman, NC)
