In Friday's league game, the visiting Idalou Wildcats baseball team scored a tight 7-3 victory over the Shallowater Mustangs.
The Wildcats (9-2) will now prepare for their game against Childress (Childress, TX). The Bobcats go into the 3A Region I District 2 game with a 3-6 record. In their last game, Childress was overwhelmed by Abernathy (Abernathy, TX), 6-5, in a league game.
The Mustangs (15-8) will now prepare for their game against Lubbock Christian (Lubbock, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 16-10 record. In their last game, Lubbock Christian tipped Gruver (Gruver, TX), 16-3, in a non-league game.
