North Carolina High School Baseball - Scotland gets by Lee County

April 21, 2023: Sanford, NC 27330

Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) and the host Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), saw Scotland's baseball squad knock off Lee County by a count of 4-1.

Coming up next, the Fighting Scots play the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A battle, on Tuesday, April 25. Scotland will attempt to move on its 12-7 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 12-8 record after their 9-6 non-league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC).

The Yellow Jackets now possess a 17-5 record. They take the field next when they host Southern Lee for a Sandhills 3A/4A battle on Tuesday, April 25. Lee County will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 12-7.
