In Friday's league challenge, the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), by a final score of 12-2.
With the win, R-S Central upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Hilltoppers host North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 8-11. North Henderson lost 2-1 in their recent league challenge against East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC)
With the defeat, Polk County falls to 7-10 on the season. The Wolverines host East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to battle the Cavaliers in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge on Tuesday, April 25. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 16-3. East Rutherford won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Patton (Morganton, NC)
