Rhode Island High School Baseball - Prout gets by Ponaganset

Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), 6-4 in a league test.

With the win, Prout upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Crusaders travel to East Providence (East Providence, RI) to battle the Townies in a Division 2 test on Tuesday, April 25. The Townies come into the test with a record of 4-3. East Providence won 9-8 in their recent league test against Narragansett (Narragansett, RI)

With the defeat, Ponaganset falls to 6-2 on the season. The Chieftains host Narragansett (Narragansett, RI) to battle the Mariners in a Division 2 test on Tuesday, April 25. The Mariners come into the test with a record of 2-5. Narragansett lost 9-8 in their recent league test against East Providence (East Providence, RI)
