The Porter Cowboys got by the visiting Veterans Memorial Chargers baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Friday's league bout.

The Cowboys now possess a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they host Donna North for a 5A Region IV District 32 bout on Tuesday, April 25. Porter will face a Chiefs team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-19.

Next, the Chargers face the Harlingen South Hawks (Harlingen, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout, on Tuesday, April 25. Veterans Memorial will attempt to move on its 20-6 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 19-7 record after their 8-3 league win over Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX).
