In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Laney Buccaneers baseball team scored a tight 7-4 victory over the West Brunswick Trojans.
The Buccaneers (8-5) will now prepare for their game against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 13-1 record. In their last game, New Hanover tipped Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 12-2, in a non-league game.
The Trojans (5-9) will now prepare for their game against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates go into the non-league game with a 12-3 record. In their last game, Topsail tipped North Brunswick (Leland, NC), 10-1, in a non-league game.
