Pacifica Mariners (Garden Grove, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Los Alamitos Griffins (Los Alamitos, CA), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Mariners now own a 19-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Serna for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 22. Pacifica will face a Lancers squad coming off a 14-1 league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, Los Alamitos falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Edison (Huntington Beach, CA) to face the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 22. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Edison lost 11-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Roosevelt (Eastvale, CA)
